Our Ministries
“These words…in thine heart…”
Study of God’s Word is the means by which the believer understands God’s plan and purpose, the way in which he grows in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the discipline by which he implements the lessons learned. We are encouraged to study God’s Word in order to show ourselves approved unto Him. In addition, it is by this diligent study that we are able to “rightly divide the Word.” Our curriculum at Community Bible Church is the unadulterated Word of God. The accepted English version for use in this church will be the King James Version. This means that of all the English translations, only the King James Version is to be used in the public reading and teaching ministries of the church.
Our ministry is further encapsulated in the following statements:
1. A ministry of prayer to faithfully intercede for the fellow saints and for the unsaved (Ephesians 6:18; James 5:13-16; 1 John 5:14-17).
2. A ministry of love in all actions toward the brethren and the unsaved (1 Corinthians 13).
3. A ministry of teaching for the purpose of building up the saints (Ephesians 4:11-15).
4. A ministry of exhortation for the purpose of evangelization and building up of Christian character (2 Timothy 4:2-4).
5. A ministry of consolation for the purpose of encouragement and comfort (Ephesians 4:1-6; 1 Corinthians 14:3).
6. A ministry of giving as the Lord prospers (2 Corinthians 8:9; 9:5-9).
In addition to the regular Sunday and Wednesday services, we hold a men’s prayer fellowship on the first Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM. An annual Missions Conference is scheduled every year supporting an active Missions program. We provide a staffed nursery during each of the regular services of the church.
